I've been tutoring students from all backgrounds and ages for over 15 years. I empathize with students' struggles in learning challenging material. I was once there myself! No teacher could seem to explain the material in a way that made sense to me. So trust me when I say I know what it feels like to not "get it". I'm passionate about math and science and strive to show students that they too can appreciate the beauty of these subjects. In order to do so, I must first understand the root cause of their difficulty with the subject. Then I can create a tailored plan where we work together towards building confidence, learning problem-solving skills, and encouraging autonomy - it's true, you too can learn the skills needed to be successful at any subject. Let me show you how! My teaching style, as described by parents: "warm, patient, and encouraging" "gentle, yet firm - you don't give the answers away, but challenge my son to seek them out on his own." My strength is in taking complex topics and simplifying them so that my students can understand and apply the material themselves. Many of my students are referrals or continuing students.
